Currently under construction the new "People's Hospital' for the west includes striking exteriors and expansive green spaces, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Once operational the new hospital will treat almost 15,000 more patients and allow close to 20,000 extra people access to the hospital's emergency department.

Cohaven provided cost planning services to Multiplex as part of their bid team for the PPP project. This included high level cost planning in the early design phases, through to detailed and comprehensive measures in the latter project phases. Successful in their bid, Multiplex is delivering the new hospital which will include more than 500 inpatient beds including same-day, multi-day, critical care, sub-acute, an emergency department and mental health and alcohol and other drugs hub. Inclusive of comprehensive specialist services, the hospital is also partnering with higher education providers offering teaching, training and research space.
